This position is located in Pine Bluff This position works under supervision to assist the Resident Physician with patient care and procedures.
The LPN II will prepare patients for clinic visits and work with Resident Physician in clinic to maintain a timely flow of patients.
The LPN II primary responsibility is to assist patients to rooms, triage of patients, gather medical and health history, chief complaints, and enter all information in the EMR related to the visit.
Assist physician with test and procedures, administer medications and vaccines, disseminates educational materials, assesses incoming patients, cleans and stocks exam rooms and supply room area, keeps medical supply inventory, and provides direct patient care under supervision of physician.
LPN II will also work with Care Managers to best serve the needs of the patients.
This position must be able to perform all duties of the Licensed Practical Nurse II and perform other duties to support the patient care activities as needed.

90% - Clinical Obtains the patient's height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations and chief complaint and records the data in the EMR.
Assist Resident Physician with patient assessment, testing and special procedures.
Coordinates ancillary services, referrals, hospitalizations, and services with other agencies.
Assesses Arkansas Department of Health Immunization site every visit to assess patient possible need for immunizations.
Nurses will also provide education for all vaccinations based on patient and/or parent need.
Nurse will also document all vaccinations administration in the EMR and forward them to the designee to be entered into the state registry.
Disseminates educational materials and renders training to patients related to disease status or prevention.
Provides supportive testing related to patient visits as ordered by the Provider or per standing orders or protocol.
(Spirometry, Audiometry, EKG, Vision test, Retinal Exam, Pulse Oximetry, blood glucose check, fluoride treatments, updrafts, ear irrigation, dressing changes, lab and X- ray).
Collects laboratory specimens as ordered by physician.
Assists patients to laboratory and radiology for diagnostic testing.
Sets up equipment for testing or treatment that is to be performed by the Provider.
Assist physicians with procedures, i.
e.
pelvic exams and minor surgical procedures including but not limited to removal of ingrown toenails, removal of skin lesions and closure of minor lacerations.
Schedule follow up appointments as ordered by the Provider or per standing orders Schedule referral appointments as ordered by the Provider Enter orders for labs, referrals, and testing as ordered by the ProviderTriage of urgent matters that occur in the clinical area.
5% Cleans stocks and prepares exam rooms.
5% - Other duties Other duties as assigned or deemed necessary.

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program.
Associates Degree in Nursing Minimum of 2 years work experience in a clinical environment with direct patient care Current Arkansas Licensed Practical Nurse license Current CPR certification Good communication skills (written and oral), excellent customer service skills, problem-solving skills, leadership and collaborative skills, strong patient advocacy and patient education skills.
Intermediate computer skills, professional and courteous telephone etiquette, general knowledge of office machines including printers, fax machines, and scanners.
Knowledge in basic medical terminology required.
